Gynecomastia is the technical term used to refer to the development of mammary tissue in men which leads to the abnormal enlargement of breasts. This condition can be corrected through gynecomastia surgery.

According to surveys from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the average cost is around $3,400.
In most cases, gynecomastia cost is not covered by insurance. However, this does not apply to all insurance companies as the policies may vary. You can go through the policies of your insurance company to find out if such surgery expenses are covered.
