The human papilloma virus is one of the most highly contagious viruses around nowadays. It is the main reason why genital warts exist. Aside from chlamydia infections and herpes, genital warts are also one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases.

Although no cure has been developed to permanently get rid of the virus, there are many methods and ways available to help patients gain relief from its symptoms. People with genital warts can go for certain homeopathic remedies such as Wartrol. Some may want to consider genital wart removal.

Between the two, most patients would opt to go for the homeopathic treatments since the genital wart removal procedure is much more inconvenient and expensive. However if a person decides to go for the latter, he or she must first consult a specialist or a doctor regarding the procedure. Given that a patient is not satisfied with using pharmaceutical ointments, he/she can go for several other options including cryosurgery, laser treatment, and electrocautery.

Laser treatments are usually done in a doctor’s clinic, hospital or at an outpatient surgery center. The amount of anesthetic used highly depends on the size of the area to be treated as well as the number of warts to be removed.

These laser treatments are usually done only when the infection has become widespread or when the patient has not responded well to previous medications. In some cases, the doctor highly suggests this type of genital wart removal when the patient is pregnant.
